i don't want to be that guy...
But Osama Bin Laden isn’t the only terrorist in the world. Yes, his death is symbolic in the fight against terrorism, but we haven’t “won” or anything.
Just saying.

Popping Halls like it’s my job.
Also, last tests before finals on Wednesday and Thursday for Econ and Multivariable (respectively). Both could really go either way.
getting swoll.
Since I’ve started working out regularly at the gym (about three weeks), I’ve lost five pounds and then proceeded to gain 2.5 back (hopefully in muscle). I weigh the same amount as this kid Kevin who lives in Vawter and is about 5’8”. Thinking about getting a gym membership for the summer.
can we talk about this?
This weekend was pretty spectacular (with a couple of exceptions). Andrea and Ashley came to visit, and we went to Radford for two nights to experience Quadfest. For all I heard, Quadfest was a bit of a letdown to be honest. It still was a lot of fun, and Radford is a really cool campus. It’ll be nice once I have a car down here, and visits to Radford will be even easier.
Andrea also told...
lamentations.
I checked my finals schedule today (probably something I should have done long ago), and I have 3 finals on the first day of exams: May 6. Econ at 7:45 am, Physics around 5, and then Multi-variable FIFTEEN MINUTES after that. My final exam is not until May 11. I don’t think I could have intentionally made a schedule this bad. Worst of all, the only exam that I can have its date moved is...
get over weezy.
Everyone who likes rap with meaning and impressive lyrics, I’ve got some homework for you.
-Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover (the guy from Community and DerrickComedy). Don’t be confused off by his pedigree, he does not rap for jokes. He’s got a masterful flow, and has poetic, instantly quotable lyrics. He also raps for meaning, something a lot of “mainstream”...
marathon- finished.
Well, I finished my three tests for the week, but I’m still on a productive high so I’m doing homework that’s not due till next week. It’s a good feeling. I’m still waiting for grades for my multi and engineering test, but I got a 99 on my Econ test (lulz, maybe I’m in the wrong major). In other news, twitter is horribly addicting, but I’ve been mentioned...

on my mind.
- Three tests this week, one of which is in multi-variable calculus - My schedule for next year, which looks hellish - My pressing need for Ray-bans this summer - The summer, in general - My shattered bracket - Andrea, and her upcoming visit (and our one year in just about a month!) Yeah, that’s about all I got right now. Honestly, it’s going to be hard to look forward to anything...

of all the songs in the world...
I have “Do-Re-Mi” from the Sound of Music stuck in my head…I have not seen that movie in about ten years, nor heard the song. The fuck is going on?..
i love and appreciate all of my friends so much.
Thank you for making my birthday weekend so wonderful.
failure.
It’s funny, I never actually bombed a test before, I assumed that I’d be a little more devastated. At this point though, maybe it’s just shock.
I had my first Physics test on Friday, I felt pretty shitty going into it, and shitty leaving it. My gut feeling was correct, I got grades back and I got a 48% on it. After the curve. I handled it like a champ and just sort of stared at...
the productive Saturday.
I set out to be incredibly productive this Saturday, especially since Andrea & co. are coming down this coming Thursday. My accomplishments thusfar:
Finished my Sci-fi reading (due next Sunday)
Finished my Econ (due next Monday)
Took a quiz for Linear Algebra
Watched a lecture for Linear Algebra
Completed Physics pre-lab
Rearranged and cleaned my desk and side of the room
Next up:...

Ever want to compare income per person and frequency of murder between every country in the world? With this site, it’s simple! Just mess around with the axes a bit, and you can compare data for various topics dating back about to about 200 hundred years ago. Incredibly entertaining, plus you feel smarter and more worldly after messing with it.
nerdy remark of the day:
In the Pokemon games, I always find it unsettling when Nurse Joy says “We hope to see you again!” She’s essentially hoping that my Pokemon will faint so I’ll have to go to the Pokemon center.

apartment-time.
Well, I got the email yesterday, I will in fact be living in an apartment in Terrace View next year, our first choice (3 bedrooms in Phase V-IX, the legit one) nonetheless. I am so ecstatic. Louis and Marlo are about all I could ask for in a pair of roomates. We all get along together admirably, know not to step on each others’ toes, and aren’t obnoxious or anything. I can’t wait...

You look around frantically for your pencil and realize it’s in your mouth. Think it’s about time to call it a night.

coachella.
Tickets for Coachella Festival have already sold out. Sure, I had no chance of going, but it still depresses me. Of the roughly 100 acts there, here are the ones that I would’ve wanted to see (just to document why I’m so disappointed…):
!!!
Afrojack
Boys Noize
A-Trak
Cee-Lo Green
Cold War Kids
Robyn
Sander Kleinenberg
THE BLACK KEYS (GAHHHHHHH)
Cage the Elephant

Nerd moment: I got the new issue of Game Informer, and the cover story is The Elder Scrolls V!!! (That probably means nothing to any of you, but that’s fine.)
Speaking of nerds, for my science-fiction class I have to put in a week’s worth of work into Virginia Tech’s “Science Fiction Wiki” (why we have one, I’ll never know). Unfortunately all the easy ones have...

Finally making friends in college? Check.
you've been neglected for far too long, Tumblr.
Guess who’s back? Tumblr sort of fell by the wayside due to the sheer amount of work that college threw my way (what a surprise, right?). Anyway, with the start of the new semester and everything, I feel like it’s time that I got back to regularly updating this old thing, if people still have any interest in my miscellaneous thoughts.

pressure, pushing down on me.
Well, tonight is the public showing of both The Freak and Angels in America, I haven’t had rehearsal for the former for a month, and rehearsed the latter once since Thanksgiving. Needless to say, I’m a bit worried about it. And of course, this is the most innopportune time, what with my Astronomy and Calc finals Friday. And I have take my vector final by Monday. And I have my Chem and...
ramble on.
It snowed here today, on the first day of December. How cliched, Blacksburg.
I finally got a peacoat, I’m so happy.
Under the Dome is amazing. My only disappointment is that finals are getting in the way of me reading it. My dad got me a coffee pot that’s bound to get a lot of mileage over the next two weeks.
I’m really worried about finals.

I always end up falling asleep.

next semester.
I’ll be taking 18 credit hours, two of which are all online courses. One of them is Intro to Science Fiction. Other than Multivariable Calculus, next semester should be great (I’m eager to see how this opinion changes in the coming months).
